As many as 12 officers belonging to Indian Police Service (IPS) of various cadres and batches are retiring in December, 2014. They are:
- Subash Goswami and P J P Hanaman of AM cadre
- Ashok Kumar Singh of Bihar cadre
- Shiv Pal Singh Verma of Himachal Pradesh cadre
- Umesh Kumar Singh and Mohd Nihal of Jharkhand cadre
- Dr B E Umapathi and G Ramesh of Karnataka cadre
- V B Lokhande of Maharashtra cadre
- Anand Lal Banerjee of Uttar Pradesh cadre
- Chitrangad of Uttarakhand cadre
- Deelip Mitra of West Bengal cadre.
