In recent central deputation appointments, two senior officers have been assigned new roles under the Government of India.
Mr. Sumeet Singh, a 2008-batch officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), has been appointed as Director in the Capacity Building Commission, which operates under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). His tenure will be for five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Meanwhile, Mr. Hari Narayanan Murugan, a 2011-batch IAS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Director in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation. As per the DoPT order dated May 27, 2025, his deputation will be for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever comes first.
