ACC Clears Two-Year Extension of Central Deputation Tenure for P. Bala Kiran, IAS, as Joint Secretary in DoPT
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has accorded its formal approval to a proposal submitted by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) seeking continuation of central deputation tenure of Shri P. Bala Kiran, IAS (Kerala Cadre: 2008).
As per the decision of the ACC, Shri Bala Kiran’s tenure as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training has been extended for an additional period of two years beyond 28 February 2026. The extension shall remain effective for the sanctioned duration or until further orders are issued by the Competent Authority, whichever occurs earlier.
This approval has been granted to ensure administrative stability and continuity in the functioning of the Department of Personnel and Training, where Shri Bala Kiran has been discharging key responsibilities.
