Appointments Committee of the Cabinet Approves Two-Year Extension of Central Deputation Tenure of Shri Nirmod Kumar, IRSSE (2006), Director, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has formally approved the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for the extension of the central deputation tenure of Shri Nirmod Kumar.
An officer of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE) from the 2006 batch, Shri Kumar is presently serving as Director in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
According to the approval, his deputation tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme will now continue for an additional period of two years beyond February 22, 2026, and will remain in effect up to February 22, 2028, or until further orders are issued by the competent authority, whichever is earlier.
Shri Nirmod Kumar has been on central deputation since February 23, 2021, and this extension reflects the government’s confidence in his administrative expertise and his continued role in advancing the Ministry’s initiatives in the field of electronics and information technology.
