Appointments Committee of the Cabinet Approves Two-Year Extension of Central Deputation Tenure of Shri Rajesh Gupta, IRSEE (2001), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has formally endorsed the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the continuation of central deputation of Shri Rajesh Gupta.

An officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) from the 2001 batch, Shri Gupta is presently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Through this approval, his tenure on central deputation has been extended for a further period of two years beyond April 15, 2026, or until any subsequent orders are issued by the competent authority, whichever occurs earlier.

The decision reflects the government’s confidence in Shri Gupta’s administrative expertise and his ongoing contributions to the Ministry of Home Affairs in matters of governance and policy implementation.
