In a significant move, the Central Government has approved the empanelment of 20 IPS officers for appointment to the Inspector General (IG) rank at the national level. This empanelment opens doors for their potential deputation to key leadership positions in various central ministries and departments.
Among the empanelled officers, five belong to the Uttar Pradesh cadre, reflecting strong representation from the state.
