The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has relieved three IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre following their transfer orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). In light of their departure, interim arrangements have been made, with senior officers temporarily assigned to fill the resulting vacancies.
According to an official notification, the officers relieved of duty in Jammu and Kashmir include Mr. Umesh Kumar (2008 batch), Mr. Sanjeev Yadav (2013 batch), and Mr. Sandeep Gupta (2015 batch)—all belonging to the AGMUT cadre. Mr. Umesh Kumar was serving as DIG Training at Police Headquarters, Mr. Sanjeev Yadav held the role of Staff Officer to the IGP Technical Services, and Mr. Sandeep Gupta was posted as AIG Technical at Police Headquarters.
To ensure operational continuity, the Home Department has made the following interim appointments:

Mr. Mubashir Latifi, currently DIG Personnel at Police Headquarters, will additionally serve as DIG Training.

Mr. Azhar Bashir Baba, AIG Crime and Complaints, has been given additional charge as Staff Officer to IGP Technical Services.

Mr. Al Tahir, Director General of Police (SO), will also take on the role of AIG Technical.
These interim arrangements will remain in effect until further orders from the competent authority.
