The 1980 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, Shyam S Agarwal, has been appointed secretary, National Commission for scheduled tribes, ministry of tribal affairs. He replaces R Vijayakumar, a Tamil Nadu cadre IAS (1978 batch).
