The 1979 batch IAS officer of Orissa cadre, G. Mohan Kumar has been appointed as Defence Secretary, Ministry of Defence for the period of two years from the date of taking over charge of the post vice Sh. Radha Krishan Mathur (IAS, MT:77)on his retirement.
