​Rakesh Singh, Secretary in the Ministry of Steel,will be officiting CMD of SAIL​

C S Verma has relinquished the charge as Chairman and Managing Directorof SAIL on completion of his tenure and Steel Secretary Rakesh Singh has assumed the charge till a regular incumbent is appointed.Rakesh Singh, Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, has taken over an additional charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) after the tenure of C S Verma came to an end on June 10, 2015. Singh, who gets this additional charge for three months, is a 1978 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre.
