Jaipur Divisional Commissioner, Rajeshwar Singh, IAS (RJ:89), has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Rajasthan. The move to appoint Singh as the VC was taken after incumbent JP Singhal resigned in the aftermath of the Rajasthan High Court questioning his eligibility for the post while hearing a petition on January 2.
