In a major reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers in state, Election Commission on Friday ordered the Uttar Pradesh government to transfer 13 District Magistrates and 9 Police Chiefs. Now Mr. Gaurishankar Priyadarshi is the new District Magistrate of Lucknow.
Speaking to NBSB, 2002 batch IAS officer Mr. Priyadarshi said “This is a challenge but rules and regulations are already there. Our priority will be to conduct fair and good elections.This role will be challenging but we will do it with the help of everybody”
Earlier he was posted as deputy director in Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and was currently working as a observer in Hoshiyarpur,Punjab.
