Mr. Avanish Awasthi ( IAS:1987 batch UP Cadre) has been appointed as Principal Secrertary Information & Tourism along with religious affairs in Uttar pradesh. He will also be director general tourism along with CEO to Uttar Pradesh expressways industrial authority (UPEIDA). Earlier all these positions were held by IAS Navneet Sehgal in previous government.
Awasthi was posted as Joint Secretary at ministry of social justice and empowerment earlier. UP government has called him by writing letter to centre. He has been posted on many important positions including Gorakhpur DM.
