The 1982 batch IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre, Rajiv Gauba, Secretary in the Ministry of Urban Development has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Home Affairs. He will take over as Home Secretary on completion of tenure of the present incumbent Shri Rajiv Mehrishi on 30.08.2017.
