The 1980 batch IPS officer, P K Thakur who is serving as Vigilance Director has been appointed new Director General of Police, Bihar in place of Abhayanand and The state government shifted Abhayanand to the post of DG-cum-commandant general (home guards).
Thakur replaces Abhayanand as new DGP, Bihar
