BJP spokesperson Pinky Anand a senior advocate,expert in criminal and civil law has been appointed as Additional Solicitor General in the Supreme Court. She previously served as Additional Advocate General of Uttarakhand. Anand is the second woman lawyer to be appointed an ASG after senior advocate Indira Jaising.
