In a recent development Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar has been appointed as Chairman of New Delhi Municipal Corporation by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
A year 1987 batch senior IAS officer Naresh Kumar is currently serving as Chief Secretary of Delhi. The decision of the new appointment followed the vacancy created by the transfer of Amit Yadav (IAS:1991). Yadav was assigned a central government role in late May.
