IPS PS Umranangal has been reinstated into service after a five-year suspension.
As per an order by the Secretary of Home Affairs and Justice of Punjab Government, the erstwhile suspended IPS officer Paramraj Singh Umranangal has been mandated to assume charge as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), police and rules.
A year 1995 batch IPS officer Umranangal was last posted in the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP) prior to getting suspended in in the year 2019.
