From FCI to CWC: Ashutosh Agnihotri Posted as Chairman, Central Warehousing Corporation

In a significant administrative development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Mr. Ashutosh Agnihotri as the new Chairman of the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC). Mr. Agnihotri, a 1999-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, is currently serving as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Food Corporation of India (FCI). The official order was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday.

A Seasoned Administrator with Diverse Experience

Mr. Agnihotri has been heading the FCI since January 3, 2025, and has also been serving as a board member of the CWC since January 29, 2025. His appointment as Chairman of CWC marks another milestone in his illustrious public service career, known for its depth and administrative versatility.
