In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency, the Kerala government on Thursday announced new appointments and role reassignments for senior IAS officers. The restructuring includes the creation of two ex-cadre posts and the allocation of additional responsibilities to several officers across key departments.
Creation of Two Ex-Cadre Posts
Resident Commissioner, Kerala House, New Delhi
A new ex-cadre post at the Chief Secretary level has been created for a one-year term.
Puneet Kumar (IAS: 1993: KL), currently Additional Chief Secretary in the Local Self Government Department, has been appointed to the post.
The position became vacant after Ajit Kumar (IAS: 2006: KL) was deputed to the Centre as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & IT.
Additional Commissioner, Kerala GST Department
A second ex-cadre post has been created for a one-year term.
Sreelakshmi R (IAS: 2019: KL), formerly Staff Officer to the Chief Secretary, has been appointed to this new role.
