V.L. Kantha Rao Gets Additional Charge of Ministry of Coal
V.L. Kantha Rao (IAS: 1982: MP), currently serving as Secretary, Ministry of Mines, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Coal.
This temporary assignment will be effective from June 14 to June 23, 2025, during the leave of Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS: 1993: AGMUT).
Devesh Chaturvedi to Temporarily Oversee Ministry of Cooperation
Devesh Chaturvedi (IAS: 1989: UP), the current Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has been given additional charge as Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation.
He will handle the ministry from June 16 to June 26, 2025, in place of Ashish Kumar Bhutani (IAS: 1992: Assam-Meghalaya cadre), who is proceeding on leave.
Manisha Choudhary Appointed DIG in CBI
In another significant move, Manisha Choudhary (IPS: 2011: Haryana) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Her tenure will span five years, underlining the government’s confidence in her capabilities and track record in law enforcement.
