Telangana: Retired IAS Officer G. Malsur Appointed as Chief PRO to State CM

Retired IAS officer G. Malsur (1990 batch) has been appointed as the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) to the Chief Minister of Telangana. The state government has formally issued orders assigning him the responsibility of overseeing the Chief Minister’s public communication and media engagement.

Mr. Malsur is a seasoned bureaucrat with extensive experience across multiple sectors. Before his retirement, he held several key positions in departments such as Irrigation and Mining. He notably served as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation (TSMDC), where he played a vital role in formulating mineral policies and promoting sustainable mining practices.

He also served as the Project Director of the Water Sector Improvement Project (WSIP), where he contributed significantly to irrigation reforms and infrastructure development. In addition, Mr. Malsur briefly held the role of Director of Industries, Commerce & Export Promotion, further enriching his diverse administrative experience.

His appointment as CPRO is being viewed as a strategic decision to enhance the Chief Minister’s public outreach and communication, drawing on Mr. Malsur’s broad administrative background and in-depth understanding of governance.
