A significant bureaucratic shuffle by the Government of India has led to two major developments: the appointment of Ramesh Verma as Chairperson of the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB), and the inter‑cadre transfer of 2020‑batch IAS officer Priyank Kishore from AGMUT to Gujarat, following his marriage.

Ramesh Verma Appointed DSSSB Chairman

Ramesh Verma, IAS (AGMUT:2009), a seasoned bureaucrat with extensive experience in Delhi, has been named the new Chairperson of DSSSB. As the key agency for recruiting Group B and C positions for the Delhi government, DSSSB plays a vital role in ensuring merit-based, transparent hiring.

Verma’s experience in personnel management and public service delivery is expected to help streamline exam schedules, speed up pending recruitments, and bolster governance in the national capital.

Priyank Kishore’s Move to Gujarat Cadre

Priyank Kishore, IAS (2020‑batch, originally AGMUT cadre), has received approval for an inter‑cadre transfer to Gujarat. The transfer, permitted under the All India Services (Cadre) Rules, 1954, follows his marriage to IPS officer Ankita Mishra, who is posted in Gujarat.
An economics post‑graduate from the Delhi School of Economics, Kishore—formerly posted in Mizoram—now pegs his career in Gujarat, one of India’s fastest‑growing states in terms of development and governance.

Administrative Outlook

This shuffle exemplifies the government’s approach to balancing administrative efficacy with personal considerations. With Ramesh Verma steering recruitment efforts in Delhi and Priyank Kishore relocating to Gujarat, the move reinforces institutional strength and underscores a human‑centered policy in cadre management.
