Mr Gyanendra Dev Tripathi, IAS (Assam-Meghalaya Cadre, 1998 batch), who is currently serving as Principal Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Assam, has been transferred and appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Transport Department.
In addition to his new primary role, he will continue to hold the following additional responsibilities:
Principal Secretary, Border Protection and Development Department
Principal Secretary, Implementation of Assam Accord
Principal Secretary, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department
Prior to this posting, Mr Tripathi was also serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
