Elite Security Setup: SPG Takes Charge of Gandhi Maidan as Modi Prepares for July 14 Rally

In an unprecedented security operation, Bihar Police has mobilized over 7,000 personnel, including five IPS officers, to ensure foolproof arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to East Champaran on July 14. The Special Protection Group (SPG) will take over Gandhi Maidan, the rally venue, as part of the highest-level security protocol.

Multi-Layered Security Deployment

Personnel: 7,000+ Bihar Police officers, including 5 IPS officers, 55 DSPs, 139 Inspectors, and 1,000 Sub-Inspectors

Paramilitary Backup: 12 companies of central forces

Special Units: Bomb squads, dog squads, metal detectors, and surveillance teams

Tech & Surveillance: 188 Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs), 5 vehicle scanners, 200 handheld detectors
