2 Senior IPS Officers Transferred in Haryana
In a recent reshuffle of top police officials, the Haryana government has transferred two senior IPS officers, assigning them to key leadership roles. Akil Mohammad has been appointed as Director General (DG) of Home Guards, while Alok Kumar Rai takes over as DG of Prisons.
The transfer orders were issued on Monday by Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Dr. Sumita Mishra.
Akil Mohammad Appointed DG, Home Guards
Akil Mohammad, a 1989-batch IPS officer and serving DGP, has now been posted as Director General of Home Guards. With a distinguished career in Haryana Police, he is known for his extensive administrative experience and operational leadership in various high-profile roles.
Alok Kumar Rai Takes Charge as DG, Prisons
Alok Kumar Rai, a senior IPS officer from the 1991 batch and also of DGP rank, has been appointed as Director General, Prisons. He brings with him a wealth of experience across multiple key postings in law enforcement and institutional management within the police department.
