Madhya Pradesh Bureaucratic Reshuffle: No Successor Named Yet for CM Secretariat Role

Following Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s return from official visits to Spain and Dubai, the Madhya Pradesh Government has initiated a key administrative reshuffle within the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Late Tuesday evening, IAS officer Sibi Chakkravarthy (2008 batch) was relieved of his duties as Secretary to the Chief Minister and reassigned as Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Housing Development Corporation.

Leadership Shift: Chakkravarthy’s New Role

Mr. Chakkravarthy had taken charge of the CM Secretariat after succeeding Bharat Yadav and had simultaneously held the Housing Development Corporation’s MD post as an additional responsibility. As per the latest government order, he will now focus solely on leading the Housing Development Corporation in a full-time capacity.

Secretariat Vacancy Remains Unfilled

No replacement has yet been appointed to fill Chakkravarthy’s vacated role in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Elaiah Raja T continues to serve as Secretary, while Alok Kumar Singh previously held the position of Additional Secretary. The leadership structure within the Secretariat remains unsettled following this reshuffle.

Strategic Restructuring Tied to Mandloi’s Appointment

This reorganization follows the recent appointment of Neeraj Mandloi as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister. The move is seen as a strategic attempt to recalibrate the Chief Minister’s administrative team in the wake of his overseas engagements.
