2025 Batch Felicitated; Verghese Kurien’s Legacy Highlighted as an Inspiration
At a felicitation ceremony organized by the Sankalp Jan Kalyan Shiksha Trust on Sunday, Governor Haribhau Bagade addressed the newly inducted IAS officers, encouraging them to serve the nation with empathy, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to public service.
Drawing inspiration from Verghese Kurien—widely revered as the “Father of the White Revolution”—Governor Bagade emphasized Kurien’s transformative impact on India’s dairy sector. He urged the officers to emulate Kurien’s vision and dedication by making impactful contributions to society, thereby bringing honor not only to themselves but also to the country at large.
Describing the IAS as the “steel frame of India,” the Governor highlighted the crucial role that civil servants play in sustaining the country’s governance and development. He called for a strong moral compass and unwavering resolve from the new officers as they embark on their administrative careers.
