In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has reassigned four Indian

Administrative Service (IAS) officers from the 2023 batch to new postings as Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) across different districts. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued the transfer orders on Monday.

The move aims to strengthen grassroots administration by deploying young officers in key field positions, providing them with hands-on experience in governance, revenue management, and public service delivery.

New Postings for 2023 Batch IAS Officers

  1. Anupama Anand – Transferred from Assistant Collector, Raipur, to SDO, Saraipali (Mahasamund district).

  2. M. Bhargava – Moved from Assistant Collector, Durg, to SDO, Dongargarh (Rajnandgaon district).

  3. Tanmay Khanna – Shifted from Assistant Collector, Bilaspur, to SDO, Katghora (Korba district).

  4. Durga Prasad – Reassigned from Assistant Collector, Janjgir-Champa, to SDO, Gharghora (Raigarh district).

These postings mark the officers’ Phase-II assignments after completing their initial training and serving as assistant collectors. As SDOs, they will independently oversee sub-divisional administration, handling responsibilities related to governance, revenue, and law and order.

The reshuffle reflects the state government’s focus on efficient administrative deployment and nurturing young bureaucrats through field experience.
