Appointments Committee of the Cabinet Clears Elevation of Two Senior IPS Officers
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the promotion of two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the 1994 batch to the prestigious post of Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The officers elevated—Manoj Shashidhar and Sampat Meena—were serving as Additional Directors in the CBI and will now assume their new roles until the dates of their respective superannuation.
Manoj Shashidhar to Serve as Special Director till November 2030
Manoj Shashidhar (IPS: 1994: Gujarat cadre) has been promoted to the rank of Special Director, CBI, and will serve in this capacity until his retirement on 30 November 2030.
Renowned for his integrity and operational acumen, Shashidhar has held several critical assignments within the CBI and across state police services. His experience in investigative operations and administration has positioned him as one of the agency’s most respected officers.
Sampat Meena to Serve as Special Director till March 2031
Sampat Meena (IPS: 1994: Jharkhand cadre) has also been elevated to the post of Special Director, CBI, and will serve until her superannuation on 31 March 2031.
Over the course of her distinguished career, Meena has served in senior roles in state policing and within central investigative agencies. She has completed multiple tenures in the CBI, where she has led several high-profile and sensitive investigations, earning recognition for her professional competence and leadership.
