Tirumani S Pooja Commits to Advancing Tribal Development in ASR District


2022-batch officer vows to strengthen welfare delivery and promote inclusive growth for tribal communities in ASR district

Tirumani Sri Pooja, a 2022-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has officially assumed charge as the Project Officer of the Paderu Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) in ASR district. She commenced her tenure with a visit to the Sri Modakondamma temple, followed by a courtesy meeting with ASR District Collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar.

Background and Credentials

A native of Dongapindi village in Bhimavaram mandal, West Godavari district, Ms. Sri Pooja holds a B.Tech degree from Karnataka. She secured the 62nd rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination on her second attempt, reflecting her determination and academic excellence. Prior to this appointment, she has served in various administrative capacities, demonstrating leadership, dedication, and governance skills.

Focus on Tribal Development

Expressing her satisfaction at being posted in a tribal-dominated region, Ms. Sri Pooja emphasized her commitment to driving socio-economic progress. She underlined her priority of ensuring that welfare initiatives from both the Central and State governments are effectively implemented and directly benefit tribal communities.

The new Project Officer received a warm reception from ITDA Assistant Project Officer M. Venkateswara Rao, Accounts Officer Hemalatha, DRDA Project Officer Murali, along with other ITDA officials and staff members, signaling an enthusiastic start to her tenure.
