In a major administrative reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of fifteen senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to key positions across various ministries and departments. The details of the appointments are as follows:
Mr Tarun Kumar Pithode, IAS (MP:2009), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, for a tenure of five years up to 08.09.2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He succeeds Shri Tanmay Kumar, IAS (RJ:1993).
Ms. Ekroop Caur, IAS (KN:2001), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in place of Shri Sanjay Prasad, IRS (IT:1990).
Mr Krishna Kant Pathak, IAS (RJ:2001), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, succeeding Ms. Tina Soni, IAS (RJ:2007).
Ms. Shalini Pandit, IAS (OD:2001), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, replacing Shri Sameer Shukla, IAS (KN:2005).
Mr Madhup Vyas, IAS (UT:2000), has been appointed as Executive Director, National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, for a tenure of five years up to 27.03.2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, succeeding Shri Rajendra Ratnoo, IAS (TN:2001).
Ms. Chhavi Bhardwaj, IAS (MP:2008), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), with additional charge as CEO, Karmayogi Bharat, for a tenure of five years up to 17.07.2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mr Satyaprakash T.L., IAS (HY:2002), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, replacing Shri Ravindra Pratap Singh, IAS (OD:2007).
Mr Harikishore S., IAS (KL:2008), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, succeeding Shri B. Suman, IAS (KL:1996).
Mr Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS (NL:2009), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, for a tenure of five years up to 20.08.2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The post held by him has been temporarily upgraded from DS/Director level to Joint Secretary level for an initial period of two years.
Ms. V. Lalithalakshmi, IAS (WB:2008), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Vice President’s Secretariat, for a tenure of five years up to 28.02.2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Ms. Shilpa Sachin Shinde, IAS (UT:2006), has been appointed as Chairperson & Managing Director (CMD), WAPCOS, at Joint Secretary level, under the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Shri Ajeet Kumar, IAS (MP:2002), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development, for a tenure of five years up to 18.08.2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, succeeding Ms. Pallavi Agarwal, IRS (IT:1991).
Ms. Aishvarya Singh, IAS (SK:2008), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, for a combined tenure up to 05.02.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, replacing Shri Jitendra Srivastava, IAS (BH:2000).
Shri Amit Singla, IAS (UT:2003), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, succeeding Ms. Surbhi Jain, IES (2001).
Ms. Radhika Jha, IAS (UD:2002), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
