Appointment Committee of the Cabinet mandates new responsibilities to two senior ISS officers Chetan PS and Ashim Kumar Modi in the Ministry of Housing and Ministry of Coal.
A year 2002 batch IRS (IT) officer Chetan P.S. Rao, has been appointed as Member (Finance), Delhi Development Authority (DDA), under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He succeeds Shri Vijay Kumar Singh, ICAS (1995).
On the other hand a year 2000 batch IRS officer Ashim Kumar Modi, has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Coal, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He replaces Ms. Nirupama Kotru, IRS (IT:1992).
