The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared the appointments of seven senior officers from various services to key posts across ministries and departments. The new assignments are as follows:
Mr Shreeshail Malge, IRAS (2002), has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Posts, for a five-year tenure up to 26 February 2029, succeeding Shri Partha Sarathi Das, IA&AS (1994).
Ms. Avita Sinha, IRPS (2003), has been named Senior Directing Staff at the National Defence College (NDC) under the Department of Defence, for a tenure of five years. She replaces Mr Vijay Nehra, IAS (GJ:2001).
Mr Aman Sharma, IPoS (2002), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, for a five-year term up to 31 December 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mr Nishant Verma, IFoS (UD:1999), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under the Department of Science & Technology, for a tenure of five years.
Mr Rajamurugan Muthukalathi, IPS (MN:1996), has been appointed as Managing Director, TRIFED (Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India), under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. He will serve in the role until his superannuation on 30 November 2029. The post has been temporarily downgraded to Joint Secretary level for this appointment.
Mr Sumant Narain, IA&AS (2000), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, for a five-year tenure up to 2 January 2028. The appointment is against a vacant Additional Secretary-level post, which has been temporarily downgraded.
Mr Mansoor Hasan Khan, IDAS (2002), has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Youth Affairs, for a tenure of five years, succeeding Mr Sanjay Rastogi, IAS (OR:1991).
With these appointments, the government has placed experienced officers from diverse services in crucial administrative positions across departments ranging from defence and tribal affairs to science, water resources, and youth affairs.
