ACC Extends Tenure of Biotechnology Secretary; Approves Premature Repatriation of IAS Officer
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared two major decisions concerning senior bureaucratic positions.
Dr. Rajesh S. Gokhale’s Tenure Extended as Biotechnology Secretary
The ACC has approved the extension of Dr. Rajesh S. Gokhale’s tenure as Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, with effect from November 1, 2025, until his superannuation on January 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Kaushick Saha Repatriated to Parent Cadre
In another decision, the ACC approved the premature repatriation of Mr Kaushick Saha, IAS (WB:2010), serving as Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration (Deputy Secretary level), West Bengal, to his parent cadre on administrative grounds. He has been directed to be relieved of his present duties immediately to report back to his parent cadre.
