ACC Approves Appointment of Harish Kumar Kallega and Heera Lal as Deputy Secretaries in the Department of Higher Education
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared the appointment of two officers to the post of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Mr Harish Kumar Kallega, Indian Economic Service (IES: 2013), recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Economic Affairs, has been appointed for a tenure of four years from the date he assumes charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mr Heera Lal, Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes: 2015), recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has similarly been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, New Delhi, for a period of four years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Both officers have been instructed to be relieved of their current assignments immediately to enable them to take charge of their new responsibilities in the Department of Higher Education.
