As per the government released set of new postings approve entrustment of new responsibilities to IAS Preeti Maithil and IRS Mashhood Ur Rehman Faroo on Wednesday.
A year 2009 batch IAS officer Preeti Maithil hails from Madhya Pradesh cadre. With the new order she has been selected to serve as Deputy General Manager (Director level) in TRIFED, Bhopal, overseeing the Madhya Pradesh Region. Her appointment under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is also for a term of five years.
The Union government has also posted P.S. Thuingaleng, an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), 2008 batch, as General Manager (Director level) in the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) at Guwahati, which caters to the Assam and North-East Region.
The decision was announced through an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on October 8, 2025. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs will be the controlling authority for this assignment, which has been sanctioned on a deputation basis.
As per the order, Thuingaleng will serve in this capacity for five years from the date he assumes office, unless curtailed or extended by further instructions. The post falls outside the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) framework.
