DGP Headquarters Issues Transfer Order Affecting Key Police Positions Across the State
In a fresh round of administrative changes, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has ordered the transfer of four senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, reshaping leadership in several important units of the state police.
Key Changes in Lucknow Commissionerate and Security Headquarters
IPS officer Ashish Srivastava (2013 batch), who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, has now been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP), Security Headquarters.
Replacing him, IPS Vikrant Dhir, previously posted at the DGP Headquarters, will assume charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lucknow Commissionerate.
New Appointments in Etawah Battalion and CID
The reshuffle also includes IPS Anil Kumar Singh, who earlier served as Commander of the 28th Battalion, Etawah, and has now been posted as SP, Security Headquarters.
Meanwhile, IPS Anirudh Kumar, who was holding the post of SP, CID Lucknow, will take over as the new Commander of the 28th Battalion, Etawah.
Strengthening Law Enforcement and Administration
According to senior officials, the transfers are part of the state government’s ongoing effort to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen law enforcement operations in crucial regions.
The Yogi administration has been making strategic officer rotations to ensure better coordination, accountability, and field-level responsiveness within the Uttar Pradesh Police.
