In a fresh round of administrative changes, the Central Government has appointed four IAS officers to crucial positions in various departments, following approvals by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Each officer will serve for a fixed tenure of five years or until further orders.
Mr Harsh Mangla, IAS (Jharkhand: 2008)
Mr Harsh Mangla has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare. He will assume charge from the date of taking over the post and serve for a total term of five years, up to January 24, 2027, or until further notice, whichever is earlier. He replaces Ms. Latha Ganapathy, IAS (Tamil Nadu: 2007).
Ms Shruti Singh, IAS (Punjab: 2004)
Ms. Shruti Singh has been designated as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Her tenure will extend for five years or until further orders. She succeeds Ms. Garima Singh, CSS.
Mr Jai Prakash Shivahare, IAS (Gujarat: 2002)
Mr Jai Prakash Shivahare has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). His appointment will be effective from the date of assumption of charge for a tenure of five years, or until further instructions. The position has been created by temporarily downgrading a vacant Additional Secretary post within the department.
Mr Vikas Gupta, IAS (Haryana: 2001)
Mr Vikas Gupta has been appointed as Commissioner of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), under the Department of School Education and Literacy. He will hold the post for five years or until further orders, whichever comes first. He takes over from Ms. Nidhi Pandey, IIS (1991).
These appointments reflect the government’s ongoing effort to strengthen leadership across vital sectors such as health, education, broadcasting, and industry promotion.
