IAS Officer Gaurav Singh Rajawat Appointed as Director in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has issued an official memorandum announcing the appointment of Shri Gaurav Singh Rajawat, IAS (AGMUT:2011), as Director in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, New Delhi. His selection has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, which recommended his name for Central deputation, has been requested to release him immediately so that he may take charge of his new post without delay at the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Delhi.
Guidelines for Joining and Compliance
In accordance with the directions of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), as stated in DoPT’s Circular in the month of August, officers appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme must assume charge of their new position within three weeks from the date of the appointment order. Failure to do so will result in the initiation of debarment proceedings under the same scheme.
Previous Deputation Order Withdrawn
It has also been clarified that the earlier deputation posting of Mr Rajawat as Director of Census Operations (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR), Lakshadweep, as communicated through DoPT, stands cancelled following his latest appointment.
