ACC Extends Central Deputation of IOFS Officer Deepak Srivastava in Petroleum Ministry Until March 2028

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has given its formal approval to a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas seeking an extension to the central deputation tenure of Mr Deepak Srivastava, an Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS) officer of the 2008 batch.

According to the decision, Mr Srivastava will continue serving as Director in the Ministry for an additional two years beyond his currently sanctioned tenure, which ends on March 12, 2026. With this extension, his central deputation will now remain valid up to March 12, 2028, or until further orders are issued—whichever comes earlier.

Mr Deepak Srivastava has been posted on central deputation since March 13, 2021, contributing to key policy initiatives, administrative functions, and sector-specific programs within the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

The approval was issued by the Ministry under the authority of Shri Pankaj Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, from New Delhi.
