The Uttar Pradesh government has released a structured, forward-looking retirement schedule for 2026, covering 32 IAS officers and 26 PCS officers who are slated to superannuate next year. The Appointments Department has circulated an official notification instructing all ministries and administrative units to complete financial clearances, verify service records, and process retirement-related documentation well in advance. The initiative signals the state’s renewed focus on administrative continuity and smooth bureaucratic transitions.

Mandatory Directives for All Departments

As per the guidelines issued, each department is required to:

Thoroughly cross-check service books, including dates of birth, joining details, and retirement timelines. Report any discrepancies immediately to avoid errors that may affect pension calculations.

Forward authenticated service records and last-pay-drawn data to the Directorate of Pension without delay. Ensure timely issue of leave encashment and gratuity orders, enabling officers to retire without financial or administrative hurdles.

Officials clarified that the proactive planning is intended to minimize bottlenecks and uphold the state’s standards of administrative efficiency.

Deepak Kumar – Agriculture Production Commissioner (Retirement: October)

Archana Agarwal – Additional Chief Secretary, Transport (Retirement: September)

Amit Ghosh – Additional Chief Secretary, Health & Medical Education (Retirement: December)

Shailendra Kumar Singh – Divisional Commissioner, Agra (Retirement: January)

Kamran Rizvi – On central deputation (Retirement: October)
