Government Appoints Vivek Aggarwal as Additional Secretary of Tourism Until Srivatsa Krishna Assumes Office

The Government of India has authorized a temporary administrative arrangement concerning the senior leadership of the Ministry of Tourism. As per the approval granted by the Competent Authority,

Mr Vivek Aggarwal, IAS (MP:1994), who is presently serving as the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Tourism.

This interim responsibility takes effect immediately and will remain in force until the newly appointed officer, Mr Srivatsa Krishna, IAS (KN:1994), formally assumes the role. Should there be any delay or change in schedules,

Mr Aggarwal will continue to oversee the ministry until further instructions are issued or until Mr Krishna joins—whichever event occurs first.

This decision ensures uninterrupted administrative functioning and seamless policy supervision within the Ministry of Tourism during the transition period.
