Chhattisgarh Government Transfers 13 IAS Officers Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit; Major Changes Across Key Departments

Just days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to arrive in Raipur, the Chhattisgarh government has executed a major reshuffle in the state bureaucracy. A total of 13 IAS officers have been reassigned to new roles across important departments. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued the revised postings on Thursday, with the order signed by Secretary Rajat Kumar from Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur.

This reshuffle covers several senior positions—ranging from Secretaries and Commissioners to Directors and Managing Directors—indicating the state’s effort to streamline administration ahead of the high-profile visit.

Shikha Rajput Tiwari Assigned to State Election Commission

IAS officer Shikha Rajput Tiwari (2008 batch), who was serving as Commissioner of Medical Education, has now been appointed Secretary of the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission.

Dr. Priyanka Shukla Becomes Commissioner of Samagra Shiksha

Dr. Priyanka Shukla (2009 batch) has moved from the Health Department and will now serve as Commissioner, Samagra Shiksha. She will also handle the additional responsibility of the Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation.

Kiran Kaushal Posted as Secretary in State Ministry

IAS officer Kiran Kaushal (2009 batch), previously Managing Director of Markfed, has been transferred to a new assignment at the Secretary level in the state administration.
