Baghpat DM Asmita Lal: The IAS Officer Who Pledged Her Eyes and Is Leading a Statewide Push for Organ Donation
IAS officer Asmita Lal, who currently serves as the District Magistrate of Baghpat, has taken a heartfelt step by deciding to donate her eyes after her death. With this pledge, she has become the first Collector in Uttar Pradesh to openly support and encourage eye donation. Asmita Lal belongs to the 2015 batch of the IAS and is part of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. She is the 31st District Magistrate of Baghpat, and is known for her disciplined work style and strong administrative skills.
