IAS Officer Zasekuolie Chusi’s Central Deputation Extended: Nagaland Cadre Officer to Continue as DCO/DCR on Additional Charge Until December 2026

The Central Government has accorded approval for the continuation of central deputation of a senior Indian Administrative Service officer currently serving under the Central Staffing Scheme. The decision pertains to Mr Zasekuolie Chusi, an IAS officer of the 2011 batch from the Nagaland cadre, who is presently holding the responsibility of Deputy Census Officer/Deputy Census Registrar (DCO/DCR), Nagaland, on an additional charge basis.

As per an official memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar General of India (RGI), bearing reference OM No. A-11011/1/2019-Ad-III dated 10 December 2025, the proposal seeking an extension of MrChusi’s central deputation tenure was examined by the competent authority.

Following due consideration of administrative requirements, the Competent Authority has approved the extension of Mr Zasekuolie Chusi’s deputation beyond its existing validity. His earlier tenure, which was scheduled to end on 31 December 2025, has now been formally extended for an additional period.

Under the revised arrangement, Mr Chusi will continue on central deputation up to 18 December 2026, or until further orders are issued by the Government, whichever occurs earlier. The extension enables him to continue discharging his assigned responsibilities in Nagaland under the Central Staffing Scheme without interruption.

It is also noted that mr Zasekuolie Chusi has been serving on central deputation with effect from 19 December 2023, and the approved extension ensures continuity in administrative oversight and operational responsibilities at the central level.
