IA&AS Officer Padmakar Kushwaha’s Post Upgraded to Director in Department of Atomic Energy Under Central Staffing Scheme

The competent authority has accorded formal approval to a proposal for upgrading the post currently held by Shri Padmakar Kushwaha, IA&AS (Indian Audit and Accounts Service, 2012 batch), in the Department of Atomic Energy.

In terms of the sanctioned decision, the position of Deputy Secretary will be re-designated as Director in the Department of Atomic Energy, as a personal upgradation applicable exclusively to his assignment.

According to the approval, the re-designated Director-level post will take effect from 1 January 2026 or from the date on which Shri Kushwaha formally assumes charge of the upgraded position, whichever occurs later.

The tenure of this re-designation will extend up to 19 August 2029, thereby completing the total admissible five-year term prescribed under the Central Staffing Scheme.

The order explicitly clarifies that the elevation is a personal measure and does not entail any permanent restructuring or cadre-level modification within the Department of Atomic Energy.

The upgraded designation will remain valid only for the duration of Shri Kushwaha’s sanctioned central deputation and will automatically cease upon completion of the approved tenure.

Mr Padmakar Kushwaha’s central deputation commenced with effect from 20 August 2024. During this period, he will continue to discharge responsibilities in the Department of Atomic Energy at the Director level, in alignment with the functional and administrative requirements laid down under the Central Staffing Scheme.
