Centre Approves Re-designation of Lalit Jam, IAS, as Director-Level DCO/DCR Haryana Under Registrar General of India
The Central Government has formally cleared the re-designation of a senior administrative post currently held by Shri Lalit Jam, IAS (Himachal Pradesh cadre: 2011), marking an important elevation in his central deputation assignment.
According to the decision approved by the Competent Authority, the position of DCO/DCR Haryana, which is presently classified at the Deputy Secretary level under the Office of the Registrar General of India (RGI), has been upgraded and re-designated to the Director level. This change is specific to the post as held by Shri Lalit Jam and reflects the responsibilities and functional requirements of the assignment.
Tenure and Effective Date
The re-designation will take effect from the date Shri Lalit Jam assumes charge of the re-designated Director-level post. The approved tenure for this assignment will continue up to 6 December 2026, which corresponds to the maximum admissible three-year tenure for the post of DCO/DCR, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
Current Deputation Status
Shri Lalit Jam, IAS (HP: 2011), has been serving on central deputation since 7 December 2023. With this latest approval, he will continue his central assignment under the Office of the Registrar General of India in the enhanced Director-level capacity for the remaining duration of his sanctioned tenure.
