The Competent Authority has formally sanctioned the proposal to re‑designate the position of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), which is currently occupied by Ms. Pooja Awana, IPS (Rajasthan Cadre, 2012 batch). The post has now been elevated and re‑designated as Director within the same department.

This re‑designation has been approved as a measure personal to Ms. Awana and will take effect from the date on which she assumes charge of the newly designated role. The tenure of this appointment has been fixed until 3 September 2030, thereby granting her the full admissible period of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.

The decision underscores the government’s recognition of Ms. Awana’s professional contributions and ensures continuity of leadership within the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management. The order provides her with an extended mandate to oversee critical responsibilities in the management of public investments and assets, aligning with the broader objectives of the Central Staffing Scheme.
