Cabinet Committee Extends Central Deputation Tenure of IAS Officer Iva Ashish Srivastava as Director of Census Operations and Citizen Registration in Uttarakhand
In a key administrative decision, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of the central deputation tenure of Ms. Iva Ashish Srivastava, Indian Administrative Service (Uttarakhand Cadre, 2010 batch). She is presently serving as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) in Uttarakhand under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The extension has been sanctioned for a period beyond 2 April 2026 and up to 31 December 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This ensures continuity in leadership for critical functions related to census management and citizen registration in the state.
Ms. Srivastava has been on central deputation since 3 April 2023, and her extended tenure reflects the government’s emphasis on experienced administrative oversight in the execution of nationwide census operations and citizen registration frameworks. The decision is expected to strengthen institutional efficiency and provide stability in the implementation of policies concerning demographic data and citizen records, which are vital for governance and planning.
